Oriental Pear is looking good

I snapped a leash on one of the dogs and took a walk on the property this morning. We have a number of fruit trees overlooking the duck pond, and I was happy to see that they are starting to bear fruit. This Oriental Pear tree had 50-60 little pears.
They’re about an inch or so across, and notwithstanding a freeze or some other unforseen disaster, we should have a nice crop of fruit later this summer.
All the plants are doing well, even those in pots. We are watering heavily though, since it hasn’t rained since February. It’s really not much of a spring for us this year. All of Texas is in a drought.
Here’s a potted plant on the patio. I have no idea what it is called. It started from a cutting I took from a plant I found in one of the many gardens on the property. It almost looks like a water lily. It is very hardy, but it takes a lot of water. If you look closely, you can see the buddha hiding in its foliage.
We have several little patios around the house. One in the front, one in the back, and another off the Master bedroom. This particular pot sits on the back patio, where it is visible through the french doors from our dining area.
