Occasionally when I come home from the office early, I’ll find this brown cow in our yard.
For the longest time, we couldn’t figure out how she kept getting out. The gates were always closed and locked. I walked the fences, trying to find a hole big enough for her to squeeze through. Finally, we determined that she was jumping over the fence. She’s very nimble and clever. I think she jumps over the fence every day, eats the grass in our yard, and then jumps back over just before we return from work. Technically, she’s not our cow. She belongs to the neighbors. But she thinks she belongs to us. She has become sort of like a pet to us.
