I spent the day doing laundry, shopping, returning stuff that didn’t work out, visiting the local farmer’s market, working on proposals (for my job), and giving Dave a hand in the garden.
I don’t know about you, but Saturdays tend to be the busiest days of the week. It’s so nice to come home, pour a glass of wine, and cook dinner. Tonight, we’re making pizza. Actually, I’m making pizza, and Dave is somewhere up in the attic planning an upcoming remodel. We live in a rickety old farmhouse, and there’s always something that needs to be done here. Thankfully, Dave actually likes planning and working with his hands…even though we’re both mechanical engineers, it’s Dave who usually saws the drywall, welds, nails, pours slabs of concrete, builds barns, and oversees contractors. Oh, I can do those things (and I have), but I usually don’t (combination of lack of time and Dave’s insistence that he is much better than I, which is probably true).
Anyway, I’m making dinner (pizza recipe to come next week), and Dave’s working on designing our future multi-purpose room. Meanwhile, the dogs are wrestling in the living room (so, what else is new?),
