Fun with the pressure washer

A few times a year, Dave will haul the pressure washer out from the barn and spend a few hours cleaning the patios and sidewalks around the farmhouse. He has a lot of fun doing it, but he doesn’t want anyone to know that it’s fun. When guests are coming for dinner, he’ll sigh and say “Well, I guess I’d better pressure wash the sidewalks; you know, so it looks nice out there.” Don’t let that long-suffering-sounding sigh fool you.
This time, after noting all of the mud in the driveway from the City workers who park there while they’re working on our road, he sighed dramatically, then said “Just look at that mess…I guess I’ll have to do some pressure washing.”
Then, he spent several happy hours spraying down the back patio, the bricks and windows, the back sidewalks, mudroom outdoor entryway, and the driveway. And yes, that is one of the City’s backhoes parked in our yard, and the Poop Tardis has been removed. I believe the Poop Tardis was last observed a few houses down the road, in someone else’s front yard.
