Basil, from the garden

June 21, 2012 § 3 Comments

We have herbs galore growing in our garden.  There’s Rosemary, oregano, thyme, lavender, mint, sage, dill, parsely, cilantro, and basil.  This basil was ready to be picked, and so I brought it inside to serve with tomatoes.  If you don’t want to use fresh basil right away, you can dry it for later use.  You can also prepare fresh pesto and freeze it.

Can feel the smell all the way over here … *smile – tonight will I use leftovers with your recipes – done it so many times … and today we have full summer, so it suits me and the balcony.

Enjoy your leftovers! We’re having leftovers tonight as well, from a little get-together last night.
