Chief: Cat of mystery and intrigue
April 10, 2013 § 9 Comments
Last night I was walking past the front door, when I noticed a mysterious lump in the rug. Closer inspection revealed a fuzzy little face peering out.
I’m fairly sure Chief had the idea to hide under the rug, and then pounce on me or one of the dogs as we walked past. But when he became aware that I had discovered him, he lost his nerve and immediately ran into bedroom closet (probably to poop in my shoes or something).
Wonderful … I’m sure he was up to something *smile – lovely shot.
Thank goodness he has calmed down a lot since we decided to keep him in the house full time. He is still a little naughty sometimes, but for the most part, is well-behaved.
So the poor thing is kept indoors …. no wonder he are up to something .. none good at times. It is a great photo.
He is so old now that when he goes outside, he gets injured by the neighbor’s barn cats. After spending thousands of dollars on vet bills last year, we decided he should stay indoors.
Yes, I can understand that … he had his shares of fights.
I’m sure he will be more and more used to be indoors.
My cats was outdoors in Gothenburg and when friends looked after them they were indoors, strangely enough they just adapted to it. Never one request to go out. Funny, because people told me that cats will not change habits with environment.
I believe she just discovered OUR? game of “Hide and seek”
What fun!!!!!
Chief loves to play hide and seek. It’s not unusual to find this (crazy) cat hiding under couch cushions, or inside of my briefcase!
I love that he’s old and still getting up to mischief! That is a truly wonderful shot Libby!
Thanks! It was serendipitous. I was in the right place at the right time.
