Otis of the crookedy teeth

April 12, 2013 § 5 Comments

Libby:  I think Otis needs a bridge or something.  One of his bottom teeth is broken in half, and the rest of his teeth are crooked.

Dave:  He’s a DOG.

Libby:  Sure.  But I worry about his bite.  Plus, self esteem.  Do you think he KNOWS he has Austin Powers teeth?

Dave:  He’s a DOG.

Libby:  I know, but still, I worry.

Dave:  Look:  he goes to the dentist more than we do.  He’s a dog.  He eats cat poop.  His system is optimized for sloppy living.  He doesn’t need dental work or false teeth, or whatever else ridiculous self-esteemy thing you think he might want.  He’s a dog. He licks his own parts.  He really doesn’t care about what anyone else thinks.

Poor Otis … we have a commercial over here … were they point very clear that dogs can’t tell us if the they have toothache. I hope he are not in pain, but Dave is right – still he can suffer … if the apatite is there .. will he be okay. Wish all 2 legged and 4 legged .. with teeth or no teeth a great weekend.

I am on the side of David on this particular subject. HOWEVER!!
He does need his teeth taken care of like ourselves and the Vet. could
give you his professional opinion for sure. MF

      • Libby says:

Yes, poor Otis. The crooked teeth really take away from his otherwise handsome appearance. I wonder if the vet can give him braces?

    • Libby says:

Fortunately he has a very robust appetite, so I’d say that he is feeling pretty good!

I’m sure he are just fine if he eats good …. not easy for the animals to communicate if they are in pain otherwise, but lack of appetite is one of the first signs of that something is seriously wrong.
